They have put the brick up as well as insulation and a lot of the dry wall!

I’m really liking my new office it has a lot of small but really nice things like the desk can be moved up or down by just rotating a knob as well as two 24 inch monitors on articulating mounts and a brand new computer!

I went by our house today and it now has shingles, electrical, plumbing and HVAC done. I’m also testing out posting video from the iPhone so we will see how this goes.
Seattle at Night

I went to Seattle this last weekend for my new job at Microsoft and I really wanted to take a night shot of Seattle. I had seen a picture before and really wanted something similar so I googled it and found out where it was taken and then went there myself.
This shot is from the dog park on the south side of the Dr. Jose Rizal bridge. The only editing I did was to straighten the horizon and add some sharpening. Besides that these are the natural colors.

We had a day at the park today. It was really nice to relax and Claire loved it. She was constantly waving her arms and making the sounds she likes to make when she is excited. We got some good pictures too

I am loving this warm(er) weather! Its making us both super excited to start biking again. At some point we’re planning to buy a trailer for Claire so she can come with us. Speaking of Claire, she weighs about 15 1/2 pounds and is about 27 1/2 inches long. She started army crawling a couple days ago. And she’s super cute . I tried to take pictures of her the other day, like I do every month. This was the most challenging since she can move now. All you parents/photographers already know this, but taking pictures of kids is HARD!!! She would not leave her cute little flower on her head, and she would not hold still. On top of that there wasn’t as much light as I thought there was and would have liked. I finally gave up on trying to get a “posed” shot. A little later she was finally sitting in one spot, due to being thoroughly entertained by Carly’s balloons. Still didn’t get as good of shots as I was hoping for, but they will have to do. And really how bad of a picture can it be when Claire is the subject?!
My friend Nikki came by the other day and we took some photos. I really enjoy taking pictures, and it was fun to have Nikki taking pictures too. I really should do it more often. I definitely have room for improvement. There are so many things that I still forget to think about when taking pictures. I want to be better at it.
We found out our house should be done in August. We were hoping they would say July, but no such luck. We just hope it doesn’t end up being pushed back very much, or we may be homeless for a couple weeks, since we will probably be kicked out of our apartment come the end of August, beginning of September. We are super excited about it, though. I dream about it a lot, especially the kitchen. Have I told you how much I hate our kitchen right now? There are things about living here that I will definitely miss. I love the location, our ward, the price and Tyler and Claire . Oh except Tyler and Claire are coming with me to our new house, so I won’t have to miss them, thank goodness!
Eight Months, what?!
February 9th, 2013Its so hard to believe that Claire is already 8 months old! I was talking to my dad yesterday and saying how time just goes faster and faster every year, and then when you start having kids it goes even faster. I sometimes feel like life is flying by and I’m desperately clinging on, hoping I don’t miss anything! Anyway, Claire is growing and learning and its so fun to see. She gets super excited when she sees other babies and kids. She’s starting to get a little bit of stranger anxiety. She enjoys eating vegetables, amazingly, considering Tyler and I hardly ever do. She loves trying to drink the bathwater. She makes us smile and laugh every day. I got together with Tiffany and Chelsie a few weeks ago and did a photo shoot with Claire and Anabelle. We had a good time. I love taking pictures of my cute little girl!

New House!

So we are building a house! Kind of crazy but really exciting. The new house will also share a backyard with my sister Tiffany’s new house! Crazy but again we are really excited. Another huge plus is it is a mile from my job at Microsoft so I won’t have a long commute at all. It should be done in August so we have a little ways yet until we get to move in and it is hard to wait!

So over the past few months I’ve been applying places. I graduate this semester and I had an offer from L3 but I wanted to see what other options I had available. Turns out there were a few options available the most enticing of which was Microsoft. The interview process for them was by far the toughest to get through but the offer was better than all of the other offers I got. Also they are a mile from the house we are building so that was a big plus. I won’t start until I graduate but I will have my own office and get free chocolate milk whenever I want 
If you would have asked me a few years ago if I would ever be working for Microsoft I would have probably told you no. But I guess maybe I’ve changed since then and their location was very appealing. Anyways I’m really excited to get done with school and get started but I guess I have to pass my classes first.
